These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Skarbo mobile application ("Skarbo", "the app"). By downloading or using Skarbo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Skarbo is a personal-finance app that lets you scan paper receipts, import bank statements, and understand your spending, including AI-assisted reading of receipts and AI-generated spending insights. Skarbo is a tool to help you track your own money — it is not a bank, accountant, or financial advisor.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Skarbo on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's usage rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or distribute the app except as permitted by law.
Skarbo offers optional Premium features (such as unlimited receipt scans and AI spending questions) through auto-renewable subscriptions. Free features remain available without a subscription.
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. Payments, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms; we do not process payments or receive your card details. Refund requests are made through Apple. Prices may change over time; where required, Apple will notify you and ask for your consent before a price increase takes effect.
Skarbo uses AI to read receipts and to generate spending summaries and answers. AI results can be incomplete or incorrect — for example, a store name, amount, date, or category may be misread. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting the information in the app. Do not rely on Skarbo's output as a substitute for your own records, official statements, or professional advice.
Skarbo helps you organise and visualise your spending. It does not provide financial, investment, accounting, or tax advice, and its figures should not be used as the sole basis for financial or tax decisions. For advice specific to your situation, consult a qualified professional.
Skarbo, including its design, code, name, and logo, is owned by the developer of Skarbo and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. The content you create (your receipts and records) remains yours.
Skarbo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that the app will always be available, secure, or free of errors, or that AI results will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Skarbo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or financial loss, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you; nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
Skarbo relies on third-party services (including Apple, Anthropic, Cloudflare, and Google Firebase) as described in our Privacy Policy; their own terms may apply. Your use of the app is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which apply to the licensed application. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support.
We may update the app and these Terms as Skarbo evolves. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms; you may stop using the app at any time by deleting it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
